How easy is it to apply reports from foreign HTA institutions to Swiss circumstances? The question was examined by the Swiss Medical Board (SMB) specialist committee, on the basis of an assessment report by the German Institute for quality and efficiency in healthcare (IQWIG). With this investigation, the SMB has taken a further step towards the development of methodology for benefiting from synergies.
